This is the horse Sam.
It was so fun. Horses poop a lot.
I like this horse because he is very nice.
He has a star (on his head). It doesn’t look like one, well, that’s what they call it.
I learned that horses need lots of fat. Number two, they have marks on their forehead (some). And for the final thing is they need different types of brushes to brush different types of places.
This is a great place to visit! We had a good field trip here w/ the YNC – even want to go back right away for a second trip on our own.
The field trip focused on art in nature – lines, patterns, colors, etc. Wonderful.

I went on a field trip. My brother, which was three, pulled a fire alarm (of course that becomes the most memorable part…). Mom and me laughed our heads off (out of embarassment!), but it was already the end of the field trip.
I got to make a butterfly. Here it is, Step 1. Get a tiny piece of paper, fold it in half, cut it in the shape of a butterfly, get some paint, paint one side with lots of paint anyway, then don’t paint the other side. You just squish it together and woila, you have it.
There was a whole bunch of horns. I got to see an alligator body – it was so cool. I liked the blue whale bones at the front.
Oh, did I mention that my brother pulled the fire alarm?
This field trip was COOL. Good call, Beaver Scouty people.
We went to the RCMP Helicopter hangar, got to look inside and hear about the ($4+million) surveillance helicopter with the way cool gadgets on it (spotlights, cameras), then we watched as it took off for the day!

The police helicopter has a big flashlight that tracks down people.
The round thing at the front has a camera and a laser so it can point to bad guys on the ground and tag them.
One pilot and one police go in the helicopter every day.
The symbols on the chopper is from all the different communities the chopper helps to protect.
I got to see it take off and my hat flew away!
On a holiday day, friends invited the boys to go fishing and to the salmon hatchery! Tt learned what a “cheese head” is… Ewww.

This part probably made Tt hungry for sushi…
I’m pretty sure we all had salmon for dinner that night!

They have a pit house. It is the warmest place.
It was good to learn about our history. I am so glad.
We went to Burns Bog.
It’s very wet, very low nutrients and very acidic. That makes a bog.

We saw a beaver dam. These beavers are the same like bats because they do the same sleep all day and come out all night, and bats sleep all day and come out all night.
We saw a beaver lodge. The beavers do not sleep in the beaver dam.
We saw bog plants.
We saw a fox den, but there were no foxes there anymore.

We even saw a bear den.
It was fun. Kids should go there.

The snake crawled up my coat.
It is small-a-riffic. My sister held a bigger one, my mother touched the biggest one that was even bigger than me.
They shed their skin. They have a bum flap. They have fangs.
He was smooth. They are all different shapes and different colors and different sizes.
It was snake-a-piffic. And it was scary.
And like Indiana Jones he crawled into my coat.
I love this Owl!
It was so cute and was my favorite thing today.
It had cute little eyes and was only 8″ tall!
I didn’t want to look away from him.
He was so cute you could never stand it. Even you couldn’t, Mom.

We did a lot of fun during the Olympics.
I had a great time there. I had fun spraying on a screen.
Getting stuff was fun. We got flags, we got pins, lots of pins, we got a baseball hat, we got special coins for the Olympics.
My favorite part was the Mascots on ice. The Mascots were Miga, Quatchi, Sumi. Mukmuk was missing.
I am sad that the Olympics is over.
